Figuring out what Mac game conversion studio Westlake Interactive is working on can be quite a popular pastime with Mac game fans. The company often posts information about the games it’s working on before the publisher does, so it’s sometimes possible for folks with an investigative flair to divine what games are coming before they’re actually announced.
The company maintains a Project Status Web page that outlines what stage of development their various projects are in. For the most part, the games listed on the Project Status Web page have already been announced, and Westlake offers details about what stage of development they’re in, what versions of Mac OS they’ll run on, and who they’ll be published by once they’re ready.
Still, they occasionally post info on a new secret project — something that Westlake is actively working on but which they can’t disclose. Last week the company posted details on a new secret project called Track 1. The game is currently listed as being in early development, and available both for “Classic” Mac OS and Mac OS X. The publisher has not yet been disclosed.
The newest secret Westlake project to hit the page is something called “V.A.S.T.” The project is also listed in early development, and appears to be coming only to Mac OS X. Like Track 1, the publisher is not yet disclosed.
