Since opening their retail stores throughout the United States, Apple has been utilizing its theatres with increasing frequency. In the past, Apple has had sessions with filmmakers, musicians and a host of other celebrities.
Beginning next week, Apple will be hosting sessions in several of their retail locations with various authors. Sessions and locations are as follows:
Mike Rubin: The author of “The Little Digital Video Book” will show how to shoot well, organize smart and edit fast. Meet him Tuesday, June 18, at 7:00 pm at the Valley Fair store.
Wayne Kramer: Guitarist, producer and founder of the rock band MC5, Kramer comes to the Glendale store Thursday, June 20, at 7:00 p.m. to talk about the power and flexibility of the Mac in the recording studio.
Maria Langer: The author of the “Visual QuickStart Guide to Mac OS X” will show you how to get up to speed on Apple’s new OS. Meet her Saturday, June 22, at 2:00 pm at the Chandler store and Sunday, June 23, at 2:00 pm at the Biltmore store.
Dan Henderson: The author of “Microsoft Office v. X for Mac OS X: Visual QuickStart Guide” visits the Valley Fair store Thursday, June 27, at 7:00 pm to show what you can do with the productivity suite.
Apple has also released the location of its next retail store. The new store will be at 1200 Morris TPKE Short Hills, NJ — the grand opening will be June 22, 2002.
