The Boston Final Cut Pro User Group (BOSFCPUG) meets tonight at Boston University’s Comm 101 Hall at 640 Commonwealth Avenue for their June meeting. Admission is free, and folks interested in attending are encouraged to register now.
Tonight’s meeting focuses on Digital Cinema and Mac OS X. Michael Wong of Apple will be on hand to present Cinema Tools, a companion product for Final Cut Pro that enables users to edit with film. Independent filmmaker Chia Hui Gao will present her feature film “Blue Fire,” edited with Final Cut Pro. And author Charles Roberts will discuss tips and tricks with Mac OS X and Final Cut Pro.
Folks who ordered Lisa Brenneis’ new book on Final Cut Pro will get their copies, and light refreshments will be served. As always, there will be an opportunity to network with other BOSFCPUG members.
Also, if you’re planning to attend DVExpo East next week in New York, you can meet the BOSFCPUG members in a joint user group booth directly on the show floor with the New York City FCP User Group and others. They’ll have a DVD and short film kiosk set up on the show floor and a digital cinema event on the first night of the show.
