Technology Learning Solutions is previewing version 2 of “Solution One: Internet Integration,” its sustained professional development solution for teachers and training coordinators, at this week’s 22nd annual National Educational Computing Conference (NECC) in San Antonio, TX.
The solution combines self-paced CD-ROM training to guide teachers in integrating technology into the curriculum. The edutainment format includes audio and interactivity. For training coordinators, the Implementation Guide addresses how they can support teachers and create the essential conditions for success as teachers work through the CD, according to Joel Ashner, president of TLS. The CD-ROM is a “hybrid” and will work on both Macs and PCs, he told MacCentral.
The latest version of Solution One: Internet Integration” includes info on how to tie a WebQuest to curriculum standards and additional information on the WebQuest technique. It has more detailed discussion on classroom management that will include specific advice for the one-computer, mini-computer lab and lab scenarios.
The updated CD-ROM also has information regarding copyright law and the K-12 classroom; a new self-assessment survey from Learning Quest, Level of Technology implementation; printed materials in PDF files; and a revision of some of the characters and voices. Version 2 will be available at the end of July.
