Stealth Signal is launching Data Protection, a data encryption and online back up service for Stealth Signal’s Mac and Windows users, at this week’s 22nd annual National Educational Computing Conference (NECC) in San Antonio, TX. Stealth Signal is an anti-theft solution that allows your computer to send signals alerting the police and owners of its location if lost or stolen.
In addition to fighting computer theft Stealth Signal is now able to actively prevent the loss or theft of important and confidential data stored on any organization’s traditionally “hard-to-manage” remote and mobile computers 24/7, according to John Alvin Apodaca, president of Stealth Signal.
Stealth Signal has a new Data Protection plug-in that lets you encrypt important and confidential information, “making it unbreakable to the unauthorized user and safe for storage,” Apodacad said. In addition, Stealth Signal’s Data Protection does automatic online back ups every hour to ensure that you always have the latest version of your work whether your computer has been lost, stolen or struck by a virus, he added.
The Stealth Signal system is available for both the traditional Mac operating system and OS X. Pricing depends on the configurations and number of products ordered. Details are online.
