Medea Corp. today announced that its VideoRaid RT disk arrays are now qualified by Pinnacle Systems to work with Pinnacle’s CineWave video editing and compositing systems.
Specifically, Pinnacle has qualified two VideoRaid RT arrays striped across a dual-channel SCSI host adapter. The VideoRaid RT has been tested with CineWave SD, CineWave RT and CineWave HD systems.
According to Medea, VideoRaid RT disk arrays are specifically designed for DCC applications like 2D/3D animation, compositing, special effects, game development and non-linear video editing (NLE). In the above configuration, Medea’s VideoRaid RT systems support real-time uncompressed editing with CineWave RT and the various formats delivered by CineWave HD too.
VideoRaid RT disk arrays are available in four and six-drive models with single unit capacities ranging from 160GB to 720GB. Prices start at US$1,799.
