Freshly Squeezed Software has announced the release of Mail Drop 1.0, a Mac OS X application developed to help users send mass e-mails.
Mail Drop supports the ability to incorporate standard information like first name, last name and e-mail address, as well as ten custom variables. You can import and export info, as well. MailDrop supports XML, tab-delimited text and comma-separated values. Freshly Squeezed Software has also made available a variety of AppleScripts to help export data from Excel, AppleWorks and other applications.
Built using Mac OS X’s Cocoa framework, Mail Drop sports various enhancements there as well. “If Cocoa’s got it and we could use it to enhance your MailDrop experience, we used it,” said the developers.
Mail Drop 1.0 is available through June 30, 2002 for US$39 — after that the price rises to $59. A demo version is available for download as well.
