SGI subsidiary Alias|Wavefront today announced the release of a new CD-ROM called Maya Resources | 2D and 3D Procedural Texture Plug-ins.
Developed for intermediate and advanced users of Maya, the new resource tool is the first of its kind from Alias|Wavefront. The CD includes nine new texture plug-ins that provide Maya with the ability to render new effects without making the users have to develop complex shading networks. The CD also includes 57 sample textures.
New texture plug-ins include 2D texturing abilities like corrosion, veining, woodgrain; 3D abilities including denim, freckles, rings, tree bark, scallops, and streaks.
Maya Resources | 2D and 3D Procedural Texture Plug-Ins costs US$49.99. It will be available for purchase from the Alias|Wavefront online store.
