iArch Global has announced that the beta version of its “next generation” magazine management software PPX2 is now available from the company’s Web site.

PPX2 sports features like automated, customized billing for ad clients and suppliers, detailed revenue and payment tracking, an editorial network database and more.
More than 100 new features have been added to PPX2, to help further automate the process of magazine publishing. PPX2 is derived from Filemaker Pro 5, and is cross-platform and server-ready. It will feature a full Web interface and synchronization of Palm OS-compatible PDAs for mobile data input.
New features in PPX2 include multiple publication tracking, asset tracking, system wide alerts and customizable security levels. Semi-automatic flat-plan layouts and text export to popular desktop publishing applications is also supported.
PPX2 pricing depends on the scope of the license; it starts with 2 users for US$399.
