Walt Disney Pictures’ newest animated film, Lilo & Stitch, hits theaters this weekend. Disney Interactive has released a new series of games based on the movie, with one of them coming to Mac.
Lilo & Stitch tells the story of a young Hawaiian girl who befriends Stitch — a genetic experiment escapee from an alien planet. The new game is called Disney’s Lilo & Stitch’s Hawaiian Adventure Junior Game. The game’s goal is to teach Stitch how to be good and to show him the value helping others.
In this title young players get to experience elements from the story as they join Lilo and Stitch and their friends in a series of seven challenges. Players go through two mini-play areas and engage in activities that emphasize logic, creativity and arcade-style fun. Multiple levels of difficulty will help keep players challenged, too.
Among other things, players will help Stitch control a group of curious dogs, construct an alien city, serve customers at a luau, feed fish and more. Along the way players gain access to Lilo’s wagon, chock full of helpful objects, and are rewarded with treasures for extra playing power, Stitch’s own galactic gizmos, and a children’s hula video.
Look for Disney’s Lilo & Stitch’s Hawaiian Adventure Junior Game on hybrid CD-ROM for Windows and Mac on store shelves now. Mac system requirements call for a G3/233MHz or faster, Mac OS 8.6 or higher (including Mac OS X 10.1 or higher), 50MB HD space, 24x CD-ROM and video display with support for thousands of colors.
