The new special edition of the User Group report (UGR) goes on location to the Washington Apple Pi Computer Sale and Show to talk to a variety of guests.
The new president of Washington Apple Pi, Pat Fauquet, talks about taking over the largest physical group in the world, the challenges that she faces, and their upcoming summer camps. Lorin Evans, the outgoing president, discusses his career as Pi president, and what he’ll be doing with the Pi after passing the torch. David Ottalin talks about the many benefits and projects that Pi provides, and the history of the Computer Show & Sale. Finally, Dave Gruver, an attendee “scooped out of the crowd,” confesses to blowing his budget on the deals at the sale, according to Chuck Joiner, editor-in-chief of The MUG Center, an online resource for Mac user groups.
Hosted by Joiner, the User Group Report is the series of audio interviews with people making news in the user group community.
MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s User Group Web page.
