Connectix has released a new version of Virtual PC, bringing it to version 5.0.4. The updater and associated files are available for download from the Connectix Web site.
Virtual PC enables Mac users to emulate the operation of a PC-compatible computer, so that users can work with application software and utilities that are only supported on Windows.
According to the developer, Virtual PC 5.0.4 contains new features including Password Protection, designed for classroom and lab environments where it may be important to limit access to aspects of the way that Virtual PC is configured.
It also improves Sockets-based networking under Mac OS X, improves serial port emulation and configuration, offers improved printing help and more. For the complete list of changes, visit the Connectix Web site.
