DW Data Concepts, a developer of custom database solutions using FileMaker Pro, has released version 6 of Appointment 1.0 (yep, that’s their numbering scheme), a multi-user FileMaker Pro appointment scheduler.
Appointment 1.0 is a flexible scheduling product that lets you quickly see who’s meeting with whom, or which resources are being used. It gives users the choice of a number of different appointment views and can be customized. Developers can include its multi-user scheduling function in their client solutions, instead of developing their own.
According to Don Wieland of DW Data Concepts, the new version contains a new user internal messaging system and an In/Out status board; improved functionality and performance for Appointment Types and the Grid; a Reports paper size A4 option; and the ability to share all files on a server. Appointment 1.0 works with all Macs “with the 040 chip or later,” according to DW Data Concepts. However, at the download site, it seems built for the traditional Mac operating system, but not yet Carbonized for Mac OS X.
The price of Appointment 1.0 is US$120 for site licenses and $175 for developer licenses. Pricing for other licenses is available on the Web site. For more info or to download a 15-day free demo, go to the product Web site.
