Rob Scheschareg, vice president of marketing for IDG World Expo, the company organizing the upcoming Macworld New York, guests on this week’s episode of Your Mac Life, the Internet show about all things Mac.
He’ll be talking to host-producer Shawn King about Macworld, vendor turnout, and all the extras IDG is planning. And when it comes to the July expo, Your Mac Life is putting on what King describes as “the biggest public party” at the Mac shindig.
“Want to be part of the fun? Want free beverages? Free food?” King said. “Want to listen to the Macintosh All Star Band? Well, you’ll have to tune in to Your Mac Life for all the details.”
Another guest on tonight’s show is Cheryl England, formerly of MacAddict magazine and new editor at MacHome magazine. Like every other magazine, MacHome has been hit hard by the general economic slump and the specific advertising downturn. England will discuss the new direction of the magazine and what’s in the works to turn things around. If you have any questions for any of tonight’s guests, e-mail them to King.
Your Mac Life now starts at 5:30 pm (Pacific) with an extra 30 minutes dedicated to listener-related announcements, e-mails, chat rooms and prizes.
Next month, The Computer Forum of Doylestown, PA, and MacOutiftters of Bryn Mawr and Cranberry, PA, will present a “Meet and Greet” with King, on Saturday, July 27, 1:00 pm at The Computer Forum, an Apple Specialist dealer. There will be a home style barbeque and the latest Mac hardware and software on display. For more info, cruise on over to the Computer Forum or MacOutfitters Web site.
The day after this get-together (July 28), The Mid-Atlantic Macintosh User Groups Team (MaMUGs) will present MacDinner 10.2, “MUGs Roar at The Shore!” Hosted by MacWaves of NJ, this event is designed to spotlight post-MWNY products, along with special guests, great food, prizes and surprises. And King will be there.
You can catch Your Mac Life every Wednesday evening from 5:30-8 p.m. (Pacific). You can also join the show’s gang in the chat rooms on the World Without Borders site or on the Dal.Net servers on IRC in the #yourmaclife Channel.
