The Mid-Atlantic Macintosh User Groups — MaMUGs — are now selling tickets for their up-coming MacDinner 10.2: “MUGs Roar at The Shore!” event.
Special guest speakers scheduled include a keynote by Shawn King, host-producer of the “Your Mac Life” and “YML Extended”; Fred Showker, director of The User Group Network and User Group Academy; Dave Marra, Apple Senior Systems Engineer/MUGuru; Dan Sailers, director of The AACUG; and Daniel East, president of MaMUGs, director of The Bucks and Montgomery Counties Macintosh Users Group .
This event will be hosted by MaMUGs members, MacWaves MUG-Jersey Shore Macintosh Users Group, and a “special interest group” of the Brookdale Computer Users Group (BCUG). It will be held Sunday, July 28, at 1:00 pm, at the Holiday Inn at Tinton Falls, NJ. Tickets are US$29 per person; the limit is two tickets per person in advance; you can RSPV online.
“We are working in the spirit of Apple’s ‘switch’ campaign and appreciate the on-going support from BCUG,” said Alice Larson, president of MacWaves. “We anticipate a wonderful showing of the regional MUGs as well as their members plus the overall Mac-using public. We hope to offer a ‘first look’ at some of the exciting things released at Macworld Expo earlier in the month.”
Vendors, resellers and developers are expected to be showcasing their latest products at the event, which is being held just after Macworld New York. Companies interested in participating should e-mail MaMUGs or visit the “sponsors” page for more info.
MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware.
