Best U.S. Holdings Inc. has announced its intention to discontinue support for Timeslips for the Macintosh, according to several MacCentral readers who have recently received a letter in the mail. Available for the Mac for the better part of the last decade and a half, Timeslips is billed by its publisher as “the world’s leader in time billing.”
Timeslips provides billing capabilities for service professionals like attorneys, accountants, graphic designers and others. The Macintosh version of Timeslips has been available in three different product levels, with time and expense tracking, custom billing formats, multiple billing arrangements, a variety of reports, Accounts Receivable tracking and more features as well.
In a letter mailed to registered Timeslips for Macintosh users, the publisher said that it plans to discontinue the sale of support services for Timeslips for Macintosh — only support plans purchased prior to August 30, 2002 will be honored until their expiration date.
“Timeslips encourages all of our Macintosh customers to consider moving to the latest release, Timeslips version 11 for Windows,” said the letter. Best U.S. Holdings Inc. is also offering Timeslips for Macintosh customers an upgrade to the latest Windows version for a special price, in an offer valid through the end of the month.
“We hope that the powerful enhancements available in our latest release, along with a special upgrade offer, will make now the right time for you to make the move to our Windows platform. Thank you for being a Timeslips customer — we look forward to continuing to serve you in the future,” they said.
