IDG World Expo today announced that Macworld Conference & Expo, coming to New York later this month, will be a showcase for many first-time exhibitors and brand new products as well. The event takes place from July 15-19 at the Jacob K. Javits Center.
The event is expected to draw hundreds of companies, many of which are veterans at the biannual event. New exhibitors include Celartem Technology USA, Dynamic Graphics, Oxford Semiconductor and Techknowsphere.
In addition to discrete areas for many companies, some vendors will be aggregated in Special Interest areas, which feature wireless networking and peripheral communication technology, Linux/Unix porting, Java, and Internet services. The Special Interest pavilions feature turnkey spots for vendors to target attendees with specific needs.
The show floor will also feature the Digital Art Gallery, sporting winners from the 2002 Digital Art Contest; the Macintosh Gaming Area, complete with vendors, a Hands-On Games Arcade and the Mac Gaming Theater; MacTech Central, an area dedicate to technical products for programming and development; MacBeginnings, free educational classes open to all attendees, and the official Macworld Conference & Expo store.
