If you’re just getting into programming, or want it to be as simple as possible, you’ll be pleased to hear that JJEdit, a light-weight Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Java programming on Mac OS X, has been updated to version 0.5.
JJEdit includes a text editor for editing Java source code with features such as code coloring, auto-indenting, bracket matching and auto-completion of Java class names. The update has new features designed specifically for the education market, such as the ability to click on any Java class name within JJEdit and choose “Search API…” from the contextual menu in order to view Sun’s API documentation for that class on the Web. JJEdit 0.5 also includes the ability to specify a class path and refinements to font preferences.
The cost is US$5. For more info, or to download the product, go to the JJEdit home page.
