Apple today confirmed a small number of layoffs at the company’s Laguna facility in Elk Grove.
“Apple has had some minor staff reductions in the normal course of business, but our overall headcount continues to grow,” Apple said in a statement this evening.
Layoffs at the facility apparently began last night when the overnight shift arrived for work — the layoffs continued this morning when workers arrived for the 6:00 am shift, reports KXTV in Sacramento.
The staff reduction is expected to affect less than seven percent of the company’s employees in Sacramento.
