A Poke In The Brain has announced the release of Wine Chronicle 1.0, an application for Classic Mac OS, Mac OS X and Windows. It’s a database application designed specifically for wine enthusiasts.
Wine Chronicle 1.0 features cataloging, tracking, inventory and management capabilities. You can record info like vineyard, wine importer, price, value, reviews and personal tasting notes. The developer said that Wine Chronicle is suitable for collections of all sizes. Wine Chronicle 1.0 also enables you to generate printed reports with collection summaries, consumption reports and individual wine profiles.
Wine Chronicle co-creator David Zakary explained that the software is designed to be user-friendly, nice to look at and useful. “I was looking for software to track my own wine collection and couldn’t find one that fit my needs, so I created my own, eventually it became Wine Chronicle,” he explained.
An evaluation version can be downloaded from the Web site — it’s limited to 15 records until you purchase the full version for US$40.
