Minolta-QMS has rolled out the Mac compatible PagePro 1250E, a 17 ppm laser printer targeted to small office and business users. The US$299 printer includes such features as PCL 6 (with PJL), PCL 5e, PostScript Level 2, and 1200 x 1200 dpi high-resolution print quality.
The PagePro 1250E has a maximum monthly duty cycle of 15,000 prints and paper capacity of up to 750 sheets. Its 75MHz processor powers a controller that includes emulations for the most popular printer languages, according to Steve Fletcher, president and chief operating officer of Minolta-QMS. The PagePro 1250E includes a 250-sheet input cassette that supports sizes up to 8 1/2 x 14-inch paper. You can also add a 500-sheet optional cassette for a total of 750 sheets of input capacity.
A single sheet, manual feed slot is also provided for convenient printing of letterhead, or other special media without removal of a cassette. An optional high-capacity toner cartridge improves the economy of the printer and extends the time between interruptions for toner replacement, Fletcher said.
The PagePro 1250E includes an IEEE 1284 parallel and a USB interface. For printer sharing, you can attach external Ethernet and wireless network adapters.
