FileMaker Pro was just released Tuesday, but FileMaker Inc. has already released an update bringing the application to version 6.0v2
It supports the import of XML data from a remote FileMaker Pro host via HTTP request and improves performance when using Find and Replace in large databases. FileMaker Pro 6.0v2 also fixes a problem that could cause object handles to appear incorrectly around selected multiple objects when using the Format Painter tool.
FileMaker would sometimes fail to locate the find string if it was in a repeating field and if you exported XML data as a guest of a shared database and used an XSL style sheet, the resulting XML file would be saved in the FileMaker Pro 6 folder instead of the selected location. This has been fixed, as well.
You can download FileMaker Pro 6.0v2 now. For more info on FileMaker Pro 6, see our report earlier this week.
