Work on version 1.5 of MacInvoice has been progressing at “a steady rate,” but due to the large number of customer feature requests that are being implemented, it’s taking longer than originally anticipated, according to according to Praevisus. Large sections of the program have had to be completely re-written, not just updated.
However, MacInvoice 1.5 is purportedly nearing completion. Look for Praevisus to release a public beta soon. In addition to being OS X native, MacInvoice 1.5 will also support the following features: estimates, multiple company support, archiving, improved saving and notification when creating new invoices, a simplified registration process, and “the most requested feature of all,” an Invoice Creation Wizard that will allow an individual to customize both the layout, and the content, of an invoice
Praevisus said the update would be free for all registered users of MacInvoice. In addition, all current users of MacInvoice, as well as those who purchase MacInvoice 1.5, will receive free updates for one year afterward.
What’s more, due to the recent announcement concerning Timeslips, the company wants feedback from current Timeslips users concerning the features they most use and would like to see survive the death of Timeslips. Once MacInvoice 1.5 is released, Praevisus will offer Timeslips users a discounted price (US$29.95) for MacInvoice.
