Pepsan & Associates Inc. has announced the release of Perfboard 2.0, a new version of its performance measurement system for Mac OS X.
Perfboard provides users with a readout of system performance data, with areas monitored including CPU load metrics, memory statistics, network bandwidth and disk I/O operations. Perfboard can help users diagnose problems, too, like excessive virtual memory paging, high network activity, lack of free memory, runaway processes and more.
The new 2.0 release incorporates a new vertical orientation for the window, making it easier to park Perfboard unobtrusively on the side of your screen. It also features several internal improvements and bug fixes, according to the developer.
Perfboard 2.0 is available for download from the Pepsan Web site now. Registration costs US$10. Registration is optional, but encouraged.
