MacSoft releases Stronghold 1.2 patch

Mac game publisher MacSoft has released an update to its castle building sim Stronghold. The game sports new features and bug fixes.

Stronghold was developed by Firefly Studios, a creative team behind Impression Games’ popular series Lord of the Realms and Caesar. The game puts you in control of the creation, administration and defense (or destruction) of medieval castles and all that goes with them, from resource management like making sure building materials and food are gathered, to creating troops and serfs to defend and help build the castle itself.

Additions to Stronghold 1.2 include:

  • The ability to add your own events and invasions within the free build maps.
  • A “strong walls on” option that prevents troops from attacking walls and towers without siege equipment, in multiplayer mode.
  • The ability for your troops to capture the Gatehouse from an enemy player.
  • The lord can be sent back to the keep at any time.
