nFinity Software, Inc. has announced the release of QuickVoice 1.5, the newest major update to their voice utility software.
QuickVoice 1.5 is billed as a “‘one-click’ personal voice recording” application for the Mac. It supports voice e-mail, and with version 1.5’s release, incorporates “Voice Stickies” as well — the same thing as desktop sticky notes, with the added benefit of voice audio attachments.
QuickVoice also incorporates personal messaging recording capabilities with 10 user definable channels, each capable of recording up to 99 messages. It can also be used as a multi-purpose audio recorder — a handy feature for students and professionals who need to take notes, said the developer.
nFinity president and CEO Michael Corcoran said that many Mac users overlook their systems’ microphones. “QuickVoice changes that by giving the microphone a prominent role in the Mac’s overall user interface,” he said.
Available for online purchase and download, QuickVoice can also be downloaded in a trial version. Available for Mac OS 8, 9 and X, QuickVoice costs US$19.95.
