Keyspan, makers of various Mac peripherals, is now shipping its new Presentation Remote, a US$70 device designed especially for users of Microsoft PowerPoint.
The Presentation Remote features a 900 Mhz radio frequency (RF) signal with a range of up to 40 feet, even through walls and other obstacles. It’s the first remote control to provide RF reliability, mouse control, and a laser pointer at a price under $100, according to Keyspan spokesperson Bill Gram-Reefer.
It’s compatible with both Mac and Windows systems and with most brands of projectors. And there’s no software to install. Once the RF receiver is plugged into a USB port you can begin your presentation within seconds, said Keyspan president Mike Ridenhour.
