A special User Group Night is slated as part of the celebration for the opening of the new Apple Store in New York (located at 103 Prince Street) during Macworld Conference & Expo this week.
On Sunday, July 21 from 7-9 pm, only Mac User Group (MUG) members, their families and Apple Consultant Network (ACN) members will be allowed in the SoHo store. Apple product managers will be on hand to provide special demonstrations of Jaguar — the upcoming update to Mac OS X — and to answer questions. The first 200 people through the door will get a special gift, and there will also be special gifts for those who make a purchase of US$250 or more.
Complete information is available on The MUG Event Calendar. Directions to the store are online.
MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s User Group Web page.
