ArcaneWare has released ArcanePerl 1.0, its first professional development tool for Mac OS X.
ArcanePerl is software for writing, editing and running Unix Perl scripts. You can use the insert menu and “save typing and headaches,” according to Andrew Kazmierski, ArcaneWare Webmaster and developer. You can insert various Perl syntax such as print, file input/output, if blocks, subroutines, split, replace, math and others. And you can run your Perl scripts for output and error checking.
If you’re a pro who develops large projects in Perl, you’re able to open and save all your scripts as an ArcanePerl document. ArcanePerl 1.0 is compatible with Mac OS X only. A free demo is available for download. Registration is US$9.95.
