Tech Superpowers, Inc. has announced the launch of a new Internet-by-the-Hour facility in Boston’s Back Bay. Part of the company’s NewburyOpen.net service, the facility will open this week and will be available at 252 Newbury Street.
The new pay-to-use facility opens on July 20th in Tech Superpowers’ headquarters. For US$5 per hour, users will be able to rent iMacs or plug-in laptops. What’s more, it’s free for any WiFi or AirPort-enabled computer.
Tech Superpowers will also be offering a limited-time deal for Mac users — all you have to do is say “OS X is the Future” when you check out and you’ll get 50 percent off.
The T1-speed service sports 12 iMacs running Mac OS X. Charging stations for cell phone and other devices are also available for a one-time fee — perfect for tourists and business people traveling without computers or high speed access, said the company.
NewburyOpen.net also features wireless access locations at the nearby Trident Booksellers and Cafe and The Wrap, both on Newbury Street.
