21st Century Media, a developer of enterprise solutions for eLearning, today announced the release of version 1.5 of the cast:stream Presentation Broadcasting system.
cast:stream leverages Apple’s QuickTime technology to broadcast fully interactive, rich media presentations synchronized with live and on-demand video and audio. Users of version 1.5 can now archive any broadcast for on-demand delivery. Creation of on-demand broadcasts is extremely simple using the cast:stream Editor, now a standard component of the cast:stream suite, according to Jim Baker, founder and CEO of 21st Century Media.
cast:stream 1.5 also includes support for creating polls and surveys, either pre-planned or spontaneous, during a live broadcast. Plus, it fully supports QuickTime 6, including support for MPEG-4, instant-on streaming and JPEG 2000. What’s more, it also fully supports the new QuickTime Broadcaster for creating live video and audio streams.
cast:stream supports both Mac and Windows and consists of four key software applications: cast:stream Server, Moderator, Editor and Player. Targeted to enterprise customers, cast:stream is designed for eLearning solutions in Education, as well as business solutions such as on-line training and corporate communications.
