DDH Software, a company that develops software in the handheld computing industry, has launched its HanDBase Sync Exchange for mobile database users of either Palm OS or Pocket PC platforms.
It lets you synchronize HanDBase databases with most backend database programs. HanDBase will support different versions of the program, including the US$39.95 Sync Exchange for FileMaker Pro for the Mac.
There’s also HanDBase Enterprise, which also includes the Sync Exchange for ODBC data-sources and the HanDBase ODBC Driver that enables users to access to live data for queries, reports, forms, charts and mail-merge without having to perform any file-type conversions. The base retail price for this version is $99.99.
The Sync Exchange boasts scalability to support multiple users, enabling, for example, a company to collaborate data-files on the server with handhelds for an entire mobile team.
