ISI ResearchSoft announced today the release of EndNote 6 — a new Mac OS X-compatible version of its bibliographic management software.
EndNote 6 now sports the ability to organize images with text, as well as built-in journal submission templates for Microsoft Word X for Mac. EndNote 6 supports any type of generic image — BMP, TIFF, JPG — or application file (like Excel, PowerPoint, or ChemDraw) along with text references. The included templates guide users through manuscript requirements demanded by publishers.
EndNote 6 features “traveling” libraries that enable you to import references from colleagues’ papers to your own EndNote libraries. EndNote has over 1,400 content files to collect online data and publish manuscripts.
EndNote 6 carries a list price of US$329.95, and is available to students in North America for $109.95. Upgrades are available to owners of previous versions. Visit the Web site for details, including a list of international distributors.
