Photo District News (PDN), a publication for professional photographers, will host its annual PhotoPlus Expo at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City, from Oct. 31 through Nov. 2.
Over 200 exhibitors are slated to showcase the latest in photography technology. Exhibitors include Epson, Hewlett Packard, Olympus, Kodak, Sony, Nikon, Canon, Calumet, Hasselblad, Mamiya, FujiFilm, Adobe and Polaroid. PhotoPlus Expo will also include the first-ever U.S. showing of new photographic products introduced at this fall’s Photokina in Cologne, Germany.
There’ll also be more than 100 seminars and workshops with a focus on innovations in digital photography products and techniques. Seminars will feature famous photographers Joe McNally, Rodney Smith, Lynn Goldsmith, Eugene Richards, James Balog, Jay Maisel, Joyce Tenneson, Lauren Greenfield, Denis Reggie and others. Subjects such as lighting, portraiture, stock photography, business, traditional black and white photography, hand coloring and more will be covered.
The 2002 PhotoPlus Expo will also feature the 45th World Press Photo Contest Award Winners Exhibit.
PhotoPlus Expo is targeted to both professional and advanced amateur photographers, designers and labs. It will run daily from 10 am to 5 pm. (except for Saturday, when it will end at 4 pm).
