The World Without Borders Web site/online community is presenting a discussion with Daniel East, president of the Mid-Atlantic Macintosh User Groups Team (MaMUG) who’s coming off a busy schedule that includes the recent MacDinner 10.2, the “SuperSized” MUG (Mac User Group) meeting in New Jersey, and his presentation for User Group University in New York.
The presentation will be today at 5 pm (Central). The subject will be “Coordinating events and how to make them fun for your MUG(s).” Discussions may include cooperative MUG relations, promotion of your MUG, getting new members, sponsors and vendors on board, working with presenters, and how to get them to visit plus the usual great time with User Group leaders and members from around the world.
East has made numerous presentations to computer groups, organized and hosted events with resellers, User Groups and vendors. He has also served on a number of discussion panels for MacWorld Expos. In addition, he was featured on “The MUG Report with Chuck Joiner.” In his “day job,” he’s president of a national music promotion firm, a producer, and musician.
MUGs are good places for making new friends, finding Mac-loving buddies, boning up your technical expertise, finding solutions to technical problems, and sometimes finding a good deal on used hardware.
