PopChar X, the utility that simplifies the “typing” of unusual characters, has been updated to version 1.2, adding support for Unicode. Unicode is a character coding system designed to support the interchange, processing and display of the written texts of the diverse languages of the modern world.
PopChar X installs a menu that shows all characters available in the current font. Any character can be inserted in the current document by selecting it from the menu. Besides the Unicode support, the update incorporates several other new features, as well as fixes for various reported issues, according to MacTech magazine .
PopChar X 1.2 is free for all registered users of previous versions of PopChar X. The price for a single user license is US$29. Owners of PopChar Pro can purchase PopChar X for the cross-upgrade price of o$19. Special prices for higher quantities, as well as site licenses, are available.
