The shareware makers at ArcaneWare have introduced a new font viewing utility called TypeJet for both the traditional Mac operating system and Mac OS X.
Besides TypeJet’s viewing features, it also lets you group your favorite fonts into different groups. Not only are there the manually made font sets, but there are also “smart font sets.” You can program one of these sets in seconds in a variety of ways, according to MacTech magazine. For example, you can make a smart font set display all and only Helvetica fonts, without having to manually add each one.
With smart font sets, you can add a new font to the system that applies to the smart font set, and it will instantly update that set. TypeJet also has a live search feature, full screen mode, and even a font slideshow feature.
A demo copy is available for download. Registration is US$11. Future versions until 2.0 will be free updates to current users.
