The 2002 FileMaker Developer Conference opened today with the theme of “Information, Integration and Innovation.” Held at the Desert Springs Marriott resort in Palm Desert, California, the three-day conference will allow attendees to explore the recently released FileMaker Pro 6 and how it uses integrated XML (Extensible Markup Language).
The conference will feature hands-on technical labs, a product showcase, an overview of developer tools, pre-conference seminars, and over 50 sessions on topics such as building solutions, taking advantage of standards (XML, Web services, SQL, JDBC), business applications and technical solutions.
Among the many experts and solutions developers speaking at the conference will be: keynote speaker Ron Schmelzer, founder and senior analyst of ZapThink; FileMaker President Dominique Goupil; FileMaker executives Bill Epling, chief financial officer; Chung Le, vice president of product development and Chris Trytten, director of product management.
