Disney Interactive announced today the release of some new games for preschoolers based on popular Playhouse Disney shows, as seen on The Disney Channel. The company has released “Playhouse Disney’s Stanley Wild for Sharks!” and “Playhouse Disney’s The Book of Pooh: A Story without a Tail.”
“Playhouse Disney’s Stanley Wild for Sharks!” is the second interactive CD-ROM based on the show and is aimed at kids ages three to six. Kids join Stanley and his pet fish Dennis as they search for a missing shark tooth and model pieces that will be shown during Show and Tell at Stanley’s school. Kids will also learn fun ocean facts from “The Great Big Book of Everything.”
What’s more, the title features pictures, facts and activities including coloring, drawing, connecting the dots and hidden pictures and mazes that can be printed and used away from the computer. And if you already own “Playhouse Disney’s Stanley Tiger Tales,” the two games can be integrated into one.
“Playhouse Disney’s The Book of Pooh: A Story without a Tail” is for kids ages two to five. The game is based on the puppet show shown on Playhouse Disney, and kids will join Winnie the Pooh and friends. In this game, you must find Eeyore’s lost tail and participate in activities that will help to cheer Eeyore up.
Both games ship on hybrid CD-ROMs compatible with Mac OS and Windows, according to Disney Interactive (Disney did not offer specific Mac OS system requirements, however). Both games cost US$19.99.
