Coordinators of this month’s Salt Lake City Film Festival noted that the event will feature corporate and movie industry leaders, independent films, and a “FutureCinema Expo” that will feature emerging technology. Among the rosters of companies that will be participating is Apple.
The inaugural event will screen more than two-dozen independent films at the Larry H. Miller campus of Salt Lake Community College in Sandy, Utah. Also happening at the Miller campus is the FutureCinema Expo. In addition to Apple, TV Specialists Inc. will be on hand to demonstrate the new Panasonic AG-DVX100, the world’s first mini DV camcorder with 24 frame progressive capabilities.
Salt Lake City Film Festival executive director Wayne Lee called this year’s event a great beginning. “We are encouraged by the large number of family oriented films submitted for consideration from all parts of the world, and the participation of international technology companies, as well as personalities in the movie industry,” he added.
