Two Macintosh User Groups (MUGs) groups are having special meetings this week. Daniel East, president of The Mid-Atlantic Macintosh User Groups Team (http://www.mamugs.org) will visit the Lehigh Valley’s MacPower Users Group at their August 21 meeting.
In addition to presenting “Intro to Simple and Effective Web Design,” East will also discuss the upcoming Mac OS X 10.2 (“Jaguar”) release and provide a news and tech support question & answer session for members.
The meeting will be held at “New Seasons” in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on the second floor of 1263 South Cedar Crest Blvd. Seating is limited and on a “first come, first served” basis. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served. For more info, go to the MacPower UG Web site.
Also, Dave Marra and Robert Golding, both of Apple, will make a joint presentation to the monthly meeting of PMUG, the Princeton (New Jersey) Macintosh Users’ Group, tomorrow night, August 13, at 7:30 in the Jadwin Physics Building on the Princeton University Campus.
Marra will spotlight some of the Apple announcements made at July’s Macworld Conference & Expo in New York, including Mac OS X 10.2, new iPods, .Mac, and the 17-inch iMac. Golding will spotlight third-party products and offers “tips and tricks with Mac OS X.” For more info, go to the PMUG Web site.
