DropDMG 1.7, a tool for creating “.dmg” and “.img” disk images on Mac OS X, is now available.
The application can encrypt images and post-process them with GZip or MacBinary. DropDMG also supports segmented images and images that auto-open when you mount them.
Version 1.7 adds support for license agreements using rich text and may be localized. The image destination path is now stored abbreviated with a tilde, if possible, to help folks who have multiple boot partitions. The log is printable in DropDMG 1.7 and there are also some bug fixes and other tweaks.
DropDMG 1.7 is now available for download. It requires Mac OS X 10.1 or later and costs US$5.
