Mac/Windows business software publisher CE Software Inc. offered a look at the financial results for its own third quarter performance, which ended June 30, 2002. The company reported a modest net loss — smaller than some previous quarters — on lower revenue.
For its third financial quarter, CE Software saw a net loss of US$28,000 on revenue of $432,000; for the same quarter in 2001, CE Software saw a net loss of $287,000 on revenue of $335,000.
While the quarter left CE Software still in the red, CE Software president John S. Kirk said that his company is pleased to report a second consecutive quarter of improvements compared to a year ago. “We do not have a four billion dollar accounting adjustment, not even a small one,” he joked. Kirk added that the company would continue to develop software for small and mid-sized businesses while controlling its own expenses.
CE Software’s products include QuicKeys X, an automation utility for Mac OS X; the e-mail product QuickMail; and business communication tools QuickConference and In/Out Tracker.
