ScenicSoft is a developer of software targeted at publishing and print production. Their products include UpFront, TrapWise, Preps, Pandora, Color Central and Print Central. Creo is the global supplier of pre-press equipment and solutions for the graphic arts industry.
Creo CEO Amos Michelson said that his company’s acquisition of ScenicSoft provides it with access to products that complement Creo’s Network Graphic Production initiative. “The added technology, category-leading products, and industry knowledge of the ScenicSoft team will further strengthen our ability to deliver the best solutions to our customers,” he said
Stockholders in ScenicSoft will receive an aggregate payment of about $7.2 million when the deal closes; Creo also assumes about $2.3 million in liabilities. The deal is subject to the customary conditions, including shareholder approval.
