European scanner maker Qubyx has announced new prices for its line of SCSI-2 based scanners aimed at graphics pros. The company has been active in the prepress business for several years in France, Benelux, Switzerland and Italy.
The company’s LynXA3 model offers up dual resolution capability of either 800 x 2400 dots per inch (DPI) or 2400 x 2400 DPI. It sports a real color depth of 14 bits per primary color and a maximal density of 3.9. It carries a suggested retail price of €5,499.
The Qubyx Pro 48 is a flatbed scanner with transparency unit. It offers the ability to scan reflective images of up to 210mm x 300mm, or transparencies of up to 210mm x 265mm. Featuring a resolution of 2400 x 1200 DPI and a color depth of 48 bits without interpolation. It carries a suggested retail price of €2,690.
The Qubyx Pro 42 is a flatbed scanner with transparency unit as well. Featuring the ability to scan reflective and transparent images of the same dimensions as the Pro 48, the Pro 42 also features 2400 x 1200 DPI, and as the name implies it sports 42 bit color depth. Its suggested retail price is €1,390.
All scanners are compatible with Mac OS 8.5 or higher, including Mac OS X, and ship with Silverfast Ai Pro and 2 IT8 targets.
