SilverNetworks has released SilverCreator 1.0. The software is billed as a “free game creation program” for Mac OS 7.5.5 – Mac OS X.
SilverCreator provides you with the ability to craft your own Macintosh games by drawing graphics, typing text, clicking some buttons and compiling, according to the developer.
More advanced developers can utilize SilverCreator’s built-in scripting language to create more advanced games, as well. The software provides full support for QuickTime, including Flash and QuickTime VR. A sprite system with transparency support is also included. It’s also possible to create online games that two people can use to play over the Internet.
Games can be compiled for Classic PowerPC, Mac OS X (Carbon) and for 68K Macs as well. What’s more, you’re not charged any royalty fees — SilverCreator games can be free, or you can charge for them if you see fit.
