Logitech Inc. has introduced two corded keyboards that offer several of the benefits of their Cordless Freedom Optical line and are Mac OS X compatible.
The Internet Navigator and Elite Keyboard feature Logitech’s iNav console, an integrated navigation tool that lets you scroll, zoom, access files on your hard drive and browse bookmarks on the Web. Push the “GO” button, and a window will pop up and let you type any URL — the browser will then launch and automatically start loading the Web page that was entered.
What’s more, a “browser back” button on the keyboard puts commonly used browser commands within reach and can also be used as a back button for the iNav directory. The iNav wheel can be used to immediately access folders or use it to scroll and zoom documents and Web pages.
The Internet Navigator is a US$29.95 built for keyboard-based navigation of the Internet. The Elite is a $49.95 black keyboard offering with a low-profile keyframe.
