The Boston Final Cut Pro User Group will have its monthly meeting tonight, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Comm 101 Hall at the College of Communications at Boston University.
All are welcome, and people who plan to attend are encouraged to register online. Attendance is free, although folks are welcome to give a $5 donation if they want to participate in the “Big Dig Raffle,” featuring hardware, software, books and training.
Tonight’s lineup includes Tim Wilson of Boris FX, who will demonstrate how Adobe Illustrator files can work within Boris software and Final Cut Pro. Lore “Mr. KeyGuide” Miller will also premiere his new ScanGuide Pro and demonstrate how to scan images using the new CanoScan LiDE 30 USB Flatbed Scanner.
As always, there’s an intermission where you can mix and mingle with BOSFCPUG members.
FCP book author Charles Roberts plans to demonstrate ECHO FIRE, DV preview software from Synthetic Aperture. Roberts plans to show meeting attendees how they can preview their designs in After Effects and Photoshop with a FireWire connection or other video output board. BOSFCPUG’s Joshua Wachs will also be talking about new and useful Final Cut Pro resources on the Web.
