Oracle Corp. has released an updated version of its Oracle9i Developer Release 2 database software for Mac OS X Server v10.2. You can download the new version from their Web site presently.
Oracle recommends that users do a clean install of Mac OS X Server v10.2 on the target server, which also needs to have 512MB of RAM installed and at least 2GB of available hard disk space.
Online documentation provides further installation instructions, as well as a list of known issues that outline how to properly shutdown the database to avoid datafile corruption, “bouncing” the database to listen on the TCP/IP port, and interaction with the Tomcat server and JDBC-based dynamic libraries.
