A PC Magazine review gives the new 17-inch iMac five stars out of five and rates Mac OS X 10.2 (“Jaguar”) four stars out of five.
The iMac is described as “top-of-the-line” with a “luxurious” 17-inch LCD screen, and turbo charged by Mac OS X 10.2, which “takes a giant leap forward. PC Magazine says the iMac’s cinema-friendly, extra-wide screen makes it an “enviable” home computer.
But corporate clients will be more interested in Mac OS X 10.2, which really offers a strong case for folks to switch from the Wintel world to Apple, the review notes. Jaguar has improvements that are more essential to professionals working in multiplatform environments than for home users, according to PC Magazine.
